Party Barn
Kennet Square, PA
This building existed on a property one of our clients bought. It was a basic agricultural pole building that had been used to store equipment and things. The new owners thought it would make a nice party barn- it was located adjacent to an existing pond and it was fairly close to the main house. The first order of business was to strip off the metal siding and add a couple of timberframe porches to create covered outdoor spaces. We then added a glass overhead door facing the pond and reworked the windows. Finally we reskinned the building with wood board and batten siding and had it stained a bold red color. Just a few simple things transformed this blah building into a fun place to party.
