Party Barn

Kennet Square, PA

Our clients purchased a property with an existing building. A basic agricultural pole building, it had been used to store equipment and things. Located adjacent to an existing pond, it was fairly close to the main house. The new owners thought it would make a nice party barn.

The first order of business was to strip off the metal siding and add a couple of timber frame porches to create covered outdoor spaces. We then added a glass overhead door facing the pond and reworked the windows. Finally we reskinned the building with wood board and batten siding and had it stained a bold red color. Just a few simple things transformed this blah building into a fun place to party.
