Two Old and Two New Buildings

Delta, PA

What started as a simple barn renovation at this stunning property along the Susquehanna River turned into a lot more.

The property had a very old log crib barn that was in disrepair. It had been subject to some bad additions over the years and suffered from the same things a lot of old barns have….sagging roof, deteriorated wood siding and holes in the floor. Our job was to tune it up and take it back to what it may have looked like a long long time ago. B&D Builders replaced some bad logs, installed new Cypress siding, built new window sash and doors and gave it a new real slate roof.

And while we were at it…..the client requested a new barn that would be a hang out type space and equipment shed which we were glad to do. The hang out barn and equipment shed are basic pole buildings detailed on the exterior to compliment the old barn. Nothing fancy….. just simple and honest just like the crib barn.

And while we were at it (“While we are at it” - the most expensive phrase used in construction), the client requested a fix up of an old guest cottage on the property which we were glad to do. Michelle  Harris had a fun time with the interiors of this tiny building. She found all sorts of old stuff and mixed it all up with new stuff to create a nice eclectic getaway on the property.
