We took a little different aaproach on the interior layout here…. Locating the kitchen and living spaces on the ground floor to utilize the expance of existing glass along the south wall and provide for a direct connection to the exterior. Walk out of the kitchen / eating area and there is a nice covered dining porch within a landscaped courtyard and fire pit. We located the bedrooms and an office loft on the upper level intergrated with the timberframe structure. We were asked to design and furnish the entire project. Michelle Harris again took on this challenge with great vigor and came up with a mix of new things and old things that feels right at home in this building.

As we often do, we had a strong team of people to do this project. Davison Schmelzer Construction put their talents to good use to produce a sympathetic renovation of very high quality.
