B&D Builders
Mid Atlantic Timberframes Building

Paradise Township, PA

When B&D Builders, and their sister company Mid-Atlantic Timberframes, decided to build a new office and manufacturing facility, we got the call. Over the last number of years, we have enjoyed designing and collaborating with these companies on equestrian and timber frame projects all over the country.

From the start, we knew this building was a perfect way to showcase B&D’s construction skills and Mid-Atlantic’s timberframe prowess. When a client wants a strong design and has the capabilities to execute whatever you come up with, you know you got something good going on.

All of the tried and true materials we commonly use show up- stone, steel, glass, heavy timbers, reclaimed barn wood and a little copper here and there. Lynn Godshall of GCI Design Inc. assisted us with interior finishes and furniture selections.

There were three main goals with this building:

  1.  Design a functional building

  2. Utilize vernacular materials in a simple and honest way

  3. Showcase the capabilities of B&D Builders and Mid-Atlantic Timberframes

Due to the efforts of everyone involved with this project, all of these goals have been realized.
